Nestled in the heart of the exclusive and vibrant private resort community, is Destiny House at Albany, Bahamas, a sleek mid-century modern home designed by award-winning architects Marmol Radziner. Known for their warm, textured approach to modernism, the design firm’s vision for Destiny House was a harmonious combination of architecture and landscape, emphasizing the indoor-outdoor connection.
The house features an open-plan architecture plan with 14-foot ceilings and expansive overhangs, using natural materials throughout, including cool coral stone and warm ipe wood. The outdoor space features native grasses and its own organic orchard and vegetable garden. Destiny House is an eco-home with the lowest carbon footprint. With clean, 24/7 solar power and battery storage and a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water filtration system, it is one of the first residential offerings of its kind in the Bahamas.
A 6-bedroom design home overlooking the golf course, Destiny House is comprised of the Main House, offering two master suites plus two staff suites, and Guest House with four ensuite bedrooms. The Master Bedroom is treated with GEOVITAL advanced radiation protection to provide guests with the best night sleep possible, aiding with relaxation, recovery and performance. Destiny House's distinct architectural style blends seamlessly with its custom interiors, combining unique modern furniture with vintage design classics and a tasteful art and sculpture collection.
Savour the best of villa life in the Bahamas. Extra-large outdoor living areas are made for relaxing, whether it be a dinner sitting under the stars by the natural wood outdoor fire pits, playing Bocce ball in the orchard, meditating in the yoga/massage room, or enjoying the outdoor cinema. Lounge by your private 50-foot pool (heated or chilled). Organic herb beds and orchard provide guests with the best in seasonal fruits and vegetables, all of which can be prepared by an in-house chef. Fully equipped indoor and outdoor kitchens are complete with a Weber BBQ, Argentinian wood fired grill and wood fired pizza oven.
Destiny House also offers guests access to its 37-foot speed boat, equipped with a Captain, to explore the turquoise waters and chain of islands the Bahamas has to offer. The house additionally provides two full-time, live-in house staff: chef/housekeeper and house manager. Laundry service is provided.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, Destiny House features a leading security system with biometric locks, perimeter beams, alarm system, and CCTV. Amenities also include an individually zoned Sonos media system and Apple TVs in each room. The house also features an AC system with a separate dehumidifier system and underfloor radiant heat on the outdoor patio. Dedicated to its environmental ethos, Destiny House is powered by solar panels and a battery storage system, and its indoor fire places are run on Biofuel.
